I didn't know Sam well, or even at all, but in the time that I did I felt so much love radiate from his being. He let me stay at his house with no questions and always treated everyone with kindness. I never expected him to remember me from the few times we had met, but when I saw him months after we met, he greeted me like we had known each other for so much longer than we did. My story doesn't have the most meaning like many you've probably received, but I wanted to share my experience as his mere acquaintance, and let you know that even as someone distant, his death has impacted me. Just those little moments I got to spend with him, he was so genuine, generous, hilarious, kind, passionate, and a real sweetheart. I don't have much more except that I wish your family peace and comfort in the days to come. Sam left a mark on this world that is impossible to be forgotten, even to those that were barely his friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you heal from this tragedy.
