Dear My Little Sammy Bear,

I would always hear the phrase “Life is what you make it”. I used to always stumble and question the essence of that statement, but in time I realized its value. The truth is, is that life is a chance to fuel the world and people upon it with love. To reassure individuals that love has no boundary. Life has a funny way of showing you or presenting you with a person that turns your perspective upside down. Within the seconds of being in front of such a presence, there is this warmth that happens within your body. The warmth is comfort. The warmth is freedom. Freedom from fear. To feel finally at ease. In that moment, the worries and possibly unnecessary troubles sink into an abyss of delusion. Through my chapters and the pages I cover with creative jargon, I discovered that I needed and wanted someone to give me that specific strength when I needed it the most. God may be a social construct to some, but the minute you held me in your arms Sammy, I knew of your power. You made me feel special. You made me feel wanted. Appreciated. Valued.

With your smile, you heal wounds that are so painful. With your spirit, you guide souls with your light in the darkest of night. Your embrace makes me feel like I can exhale and feel safe. Safe for being me! You taught me not to be afraid of myself. In my times of self-discomfort, you managed to push my chin up in an upward direction. You glided your way into my life and I could not have asked for a better someone. You make me laugh from the inside out. I can’t remember a time that you didn’t. When I found myself lost, you became the Shepherd to lead me to a higher ground. You support unconditionally and through your superpowers, love is your kryptonite.

I had the extreme pleasure of seeing you blossom. You always had such an exceptional spirit that had such an extreme power. Sammy you are a legend! You had the ability of making people listen! You called to action for my people and other topics of life that needed a bright light shined upon. For that, I am internally and externally grateful. You managed to move in a motion that stopped the fast spinning web of negativity.

A man like you must have dropped from heaven itself. You were molded and sculpted by your beautiful mother of peace, artistry and the ruler of harmony. You were molded and sculpted by your father of bravery, strength, beloved power and resilience. You were guided by them. In return, you were made to be love’s powerful weapon against hate. You are designed to be abundantly cherished. With an older brother that is a warrior of creativity and lives through the value of love. The merciful, vibrant, and monumental queen that is your sister, both wear the crown of hope. Your love helps her and your family change the world. It feels like just yesterday, you were running around making me and your sister fall to the floor in tears of laughter. I can hear your father in the background as he adds just that extra spice of comedic relief. Or, your mother as she adds the cherry on top to a perfect moment.

Sammy your voice still simmers in all of our reality as you take on a new horizon. You are the vinyl that I will constantly flip over. You will be the inner voice we call for reassurance. And as your voice rumbles in the core of our being, we will make it our utmost mission to make you proud. I promise to the day I see you again, that I will live to create. Live to design a hopeful future for everyone.

You taught me not to be afraid in times where I felt the darkness cover my mind, body and soul. You embraced me for exactly who I am, which could be hard for a person like me. You not only gave me a constant reason to smile, but you also gave me a solid reason to live.

Sammy, I will always love you. You are one of the greatest gifts in my life and can’t wait to see where this life I live takes us. Just promise me that you will always give your family and friends those special hugs. You will also be able to talk to so many amazing people! Shed light on your beautiful perspective and your righteous fight for living a well rounded life. I know they will not only enjoy you, but be able to bring your thoughts to action!

I just want you to know, as I find the strength to write these words down that I miss you so very much. These days will be so hard. These days will challenge us. These days will make us stronger. I will take Europe by storm for us, just like I promised. We are going to slay the international stage in so many avenues, they will not know what to do with us Sammy. So, I humbly realize that this isn’t a goodbye, it’s just a far hello. When I am lost, I know I can just stretch out my arms wide and wait for you to run into them.

I am always here. Just give me your beautiful presence whenever you need me okay? I will always catch you. I will always be waiting.

Get some much-deserved rest my angel, you will need that energy to keep making your mark on the world. Thank you for continuing to be a guidance for us all. Thank you for loving me and thank you for allowing me to rest my head in your amazing life. My Sammy Bear I will see you later. Blossom in paradise
